New PONToon Digital Skills Course Aims to Help Eastleigh Women Achieve Their Dream Careers

As part of the PONToon project, Eastleigh Borough Council is running a course of workshops for women aged 18-35 all about planning a pathway to a new career and learning new digital skills.

The 8-week course, which takes place from 10am to 12:30pm every Monday from the 13th of May to the 1st of July, aims to help women in the Eastleigh area who are seeking to improve their employment situations.

PONToon Work Goals and Digital Skills Workshop

The course will be led by experienced community arts project manager Caroline Rackham, and will teach its participants a number of digital skills including word processing, digital photography and photo editing, using freely available open-source software.

With help from Caroline, course participants will plot their own journeys to a new career by creating personalised pathway journals that will guide and inspire them to fulfil their career goals.
